Everything you need to know about FirmFlow Automation, FirmFlow PBO, and how we handle your firm's data. Can't find your answer? Contact us directly.

FirmFlow Automation is a software company that builds practice management and workflow automation tools exclusively for law firms. We don't sell generic productivity software — every product we build starts from a specific legal workflow, with a deep understanding of the court forms, filing requirements, and compliance considerations involved. Our first product, FirmFlow PBO, is designed for California surrogacy law firms.
Our current product is FirmFlow PBO — a desktop application that automatically generates Pre-Birth Order court packets for California surrogacy law firms. It supports Orange, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Stanislaus counties. We are actively developing tools for additional practice areas and will announce them as they become available.
FirmFlow PBO currently supports four California counties:
  • Orange County — Superior Court of California, County of Orange
  • Los Angeles County — Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles
  • San Diego County — Superior Court of California, County of San Diego
  • Stanislaus County — Superior Court of California, County of Stanislaus

If you work in a county not listed, contact us — we're actively expanding our coverage.

Your FirmFlow PBO subscription covers your firm — not a single seat. You can install and activate the application on the computers your team uses within your office. If you have specific questions about your usage scenario, including multi-location firms or remote staff, contact us and we'll work it out with you directly.
No. All PDF generation and form filling happens entirely on your local machine. Client names, case details, party information, and any other intake data are never transmitted to FirmFlow servers or any third party. The only data our systems ever receive is an anonymous machine identifier used for license validation — nothing tied to any client or case. This architecture is intentional: your client data belongs to you and stays with you.
FirmFlow PBO is designed to work offline. After activation, the application does not require an internet connection for daily use — PDF generation, form filling, and ZIP export all happen locally. The application includes a 48-hour offline grace period, so brief connectivity interruptions or travel to locations with limited internet access will not disrupt your work.
FirmFlow PBO checks for updates automatically in the background whenever an internet connection is available. When a new version is available — whether that's an updated court form, a bug fix, or a new feature — the application downloads and installs it silently without interrupting your workflow. You'll never need to manually check for updates, download an installer, or involve your IT team. Updates are included as part of your subscription.
We're working on automation tools for additional areas of law, including family law, estate planning, and immigration. We approach each new area the same way we approached surrogacy law — by deeply understanding the specific workflow before building anything. We're not ready to announce specific timelines yet, but if your firm works in one of these areas and you'd like to be among the first to know, get in touch.
The easiest way to get started is to contact us. We'll confirm your subscription, set up your account, and send your license key — typically within one business day. Once you have a key, visit the Download page to verify your license and download the installer for Mac or Windows. Setup takes only a few minutes.
All FirmFlow PBO subscriptions include email support. We take support seriously — when you reach out, you're talking to someone who understands the product and the legal context it operates in, not a generic help desk. For issues related to court form accuracy or county-specific filing requirements, we treat those as high priority. If you have a question that isn't covered here, reach out directly.

We’re starting a resource library for firms that want a clearer view of how common parentage order forms and county-specific workflows often fit together. These pages are educational only and firms should verify current local requirements.
